Join me, Tammy from Canadian Handywoman and the Home & Farm editor for Harrowsmith, for a 4-hour, hands-on intensive designed to help you finally feel comfortable using the tools you’ve been avoiding. This isn’t a quick overview. This is where you actually learn how to use them. Designed by women, for women, this session gives you the time, space, and support to get your hands on the tools, try things out, and build real confidence — not just watch someone else do it.
Why This Workshop Exists
Most women were never actually shown how to use tools in a way that builds real confidence.
- So things get put off.
- Tools go unused.
- And even small jobs feel bigger than they need to be.
This workshop exists to change that. You’ll get the time, space, and support to actually use the tools, understand how they work, and feel comfortable doing it yourself. Because once you stop guessing, everything gets easier. And you start seeing your home as something you can handle — not something that handles you.
What you’ll learn:
- How to confidently use essential tools like a drill, driver, and more
- What each tool is for — and when to use it
- How to choose the right tool and fastener for the job
- How to handle tools safely and with control
- The basics of materials like wood, screws, and anchors
- How to connect it all so you can actually get started on your own projects
This isn’t a sit-back-and-watch kind of workshop. You’ll be using the tools yourself, asking questions, and figuring it out in a supportive, no-pressure space. No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to try.
